MEMS Journal is providing a MEMS IP brokerage service to find partners who will: license, support technology transfer and/or accelerate commercialization of your MEMS technologies and IP.
Sell, Buy or License
You can use our service to sell, buy or license patents, IP or technological "know-how" for your MEMS IP portfolio. We provide a unique MEMS IP brokerage platform that enables connecting to our 21,200+ subscribers, as well as, our direct industry network.
MEMS IP Brokerage Services for Sellers
To aid in selling or licensing IP, patent owners can list patents and reusable design IP in MEMS Journal's MEMS IP library. Typically, IP would include:
● patents that may be leveraged in market segments different than the company's primary product focus
● patents from start-ups or individual inventors who may not have sufficient funding to take a product based on their patent to market
● design IP that can be fabricated by several MEMS foundries
MEMS Journal will prequalify potential buyers of IP and source qualified leads to the IP seller. IP will be classified by major product categories and key words to support a buyer's search. In addition, we can also provide technical, marketing and IP expertise to help you refine your IP acquisition strategy, and support you in identifying opportunities, valuing IP and closing licensing transactions.
MEMS IP Analysis and Market Research
For the past 9+ years, since our founding in 2003, we have reviewed more than 22,000 MEMS related patents and patent applications. Based on this background, experience and resources, we bring a unique perspective to your IP related analysis and market research projects.
MEMS IP Brokerage Services for Buyers
On behalf of buyers who wish to remain anonymous, MEMS Journal can approach companies and R&D organizations with desirable IP to determine if the target company is willing to sell, license, cross‐license or partner to develop new IP.

For inquires about MEMS IP services, please contact Frank Swiatowiec, our Director of IP Services at [email protected].
Frank has significant experience in managing business development, engineering and manufacturing programs for emerging technologies in MEMS, thin-film, semiconductor, and hardware companies. He has grown several new, process-intensive technologies from business concepts into qualified, revenue-generating product lines. At several different companies, Frank established and then managed corporate partnerships to develop and commercialize thin-film and MEMS based products. As a founder of a start-up company, Frank negotiated a technology license, the technology know-how transfer and a development partnership that created 3-D MEMS springs used in IC packaging and test. For this start-up, Frank raised over $26 million of venture and corporate funding that was used to design, develop, manufacture and then market/sell these MEMS based products.
Frank graduated with a BSEE from the University of Illinois and a MSEE from Arizona State University. He completed several MBA courses at Arizona State University before relocating to California. He currently resides in Silicon Valley. Frank is an inventor on 9 patents.
